Wow. What a fabulous rendition of a classic Cohen song. I was working hard and then this song captivated me.

Really nice, but are you aware of this Yiddish version? I like it even better.

Another interpretation is "Ya Sidi" by french band "Orange Blossom". At least in my World this is a song which always needs my full attention.

Bill, please! This version is nice, sure. It's a six in a t-shirt.

But the French version is a nine in a tiara .

Another wonderful example of what you get when a real DJ handles the music - respect for the dead silence at the end of the song. Bill understands that this is part of the song, and he lets you soak it in. Thanks.

Well, some new algorithm (?) took the silence away. I consider this to be sad.

Enjoying this song.  Thanks RP for adding it.  Wondering though if this song is not actually All Of It from the album  B O D I E S rather than Holding On from Carmen?

Yes indeed. Good catch. I double checked, listing to both songs, and can confirm above.

There's a great article called "The Grain of the Voice," that talks about this. Add Neil Young to your excellent list.
Here is a link to that article.  Not an easy read, but interesting.
