why do I feel like William could fill a whole day with versions of Gnossienne No. 1?

I think if Bill had one soundtrack that permeates RP it would be the different Gnossiennes.
We'll hear it when they make a movie about his life.

If you ever get a chance to see the movie Until the End of the World that this track is from, take it. It's a pretty amazing globe trotting sci-fi adventure epic. The incredible sound track had Lou Reed, Neneh Cherry, Nick cave, the Talking Heads and Elvis Costello among others.  Unfortunately the movie was not released to video in the US so it never really made it to netflix etc. Totally worth watching or at the very least listening to the soundtrack.

Hillbilly Moon Explosion - My Love Forevermore.

I realize this song reminds everyone of a different song but this is the one I hear. Realizing it came afterward of course.

This song reminds me so much of The Hillbilly Moon Explosion's - 'My Love For Evermore' which has a killer video btw.
