Dream Land - Bunny Wailer

Bunny Wailer is one of the original masters of the reggae genre who is still going strong. Definitely deservers more airplay.
Shock The Monkey - Peter Gabriel

I also saw him on what I think was the same tour. One of the best concerts I ever saw, and somewhere I think I still have his "Little Red Book" that he gave away on the tour stashed away. More early PG! How about some stuff from I & II?
Last Train Home - Pat Metheny Group

How about something off of As Falls Wichita So Falls Wichita Falls? One of the best albums ever made IMHO
Book of Rules - The Heptones

One of the true reggae classics! Thanks for putting it up.
Life in One Day - Howard Jones

A truly irritating keyboard riff....
Chant a Psalm - Steel Pulse
Posted 20 years ago by pkeys:
I love reggae with special respect for the roots pioneers, but for some reason I've always found Steel Pulse to be somewhat annoying. IMHO, there are a lot of more substantial acts out there.
Hard Candy - Counting Crows

To me, this is what a band sounds like when they're trying to make money.
Selling the Drama - LÄ«ve

Overly dramatic;-)
Don’t Panic - Coldplay

I was going to complain that I'd been hearing too much U2 on RP, but this isn't U2. Sure sounds like it though.
Four Strong Winds - Neil Young

One of the best songs about breaking up ever written.
Hotel California (live acoustic) - Eagles
Posted 22 years ago by pkeys:
Probably the only version of this song barely worth listening to.

Caught PG at the Oakland Coliseum on his 12/02 tour. Man, the guy still puts on a great show at his age. UK art rock is not dead yet!
Everybody Wants To Rule The World - Tears for Fears

Kill this one quickly.
Only Happy When It Rains - Garbage

a comment on the current weather in Northern California?
What A Good Boy (Live) - Barenaked Ladies
Posted 22 years ago by pkeys:
A Canadian version of Hootie and the Blowfish. Emminently forgettable.
In God’s Country - U2
Posted 22 years ago by pkeys:
This is one of the best albums that U2 ever did. Nice to have Brian Eno as a producer.
Gimme Da ’Ting - David Lindley
Posted 22 years ago by pkeys:
Nice blend of African pop and Calypso and a catchy beat. I think this song's great!
I Got You - Split Enz
Posted 22 years ago by pkeys:
The '80's had a lot of good rock, but this isn't it.
Personal Jesus - Johnny Cash
Posted 22 years ago by pkeys:
I didn't realize this was Johnny Cash until I looked at the credits. I think it's a great song.
Down to the Waterline - Dire Straits

A great track that's not played too often from one of the best albums in the last 30 years IMHO. I remember my band teacher in high school mentioning that the hit from this album was one that he liked. Beautiful, understated guitar work, and one of my favorite late night listening albums.
