Conspiracy Theory - Steve Earle

Interesting. Definitely a far cry from Copperhead Road. Got to hear Earle read from his book a few weeks ago. Seems like a real nice guy who's been through some rough times. This isn't what I would have expected from him. His little sister is turning out some good stuff, though.

Uh, every blues band sounds like this because this is the way blues began in rural Mississippi. This "some guy mumbling" is John Lee F---ing Hooker. Yeah, just some guy who started the blues, which started rock and roll, etc.etc. Without John Lee Hooker, you ain't got nuthin.
Come on man. Before you start commenting on music, do a little homework.
It's Bad You Know - R.L. Burnside

This is NOT good Burnside. This is like Burnside trying to play a rave or something. You wanna really hear Burnside? Check out his label's website where there is a live recording that is some really nasty dirty Mississippi hill-country blues (I should know. That's where I was born)...

Saw Big Head Todd in 1993 and thought they kicked major ass. I've been a fan ever since. Thanks for playing cool music!!!
God - Tori Amos

Saw Tori a few years ago in Memphis. After the show we watied outside the venue for her to leave. It was freezing cold, pouring rain. Her body guard came out and said Tori won't be signing autographs. Please leave.
About 30 mins later she came out, hugged each person waiting and personally thanked us all for coming. A wonderful person she is.
