This was one of my father’s favorite albums. He passed at 87 last November. Will always remember cranking this up with him. Funny thing is, he was a professional jazz bass player. Blew me away when he asked me to get him a copy of this album when it came out. Great memories. Miss you dad.
I’ve said this before, but it needs repeating, my life is better because of Radio Paradise. I’m sure I never would have known/heard of Elbow without RP. This is why I give to the cause.
Don’t understand a word, but man this is powerful! This is why we send a little bit each month. Nowhere else would I have heard this. Thank you RP for enriching our lives.
Hate to say that I’d never heard of Nick Drake until the VW commercial, but I am thankful to whatever agency did that. My life has been better because of it.
I’ve been a prog music fan forever. Couldn’t stand dance type music, but damn I really dig Massive Attack. Thanks for broadening my horizons Bill & Rebecca. This is why I send a contribution monthly. Worth every penny.
When my husband was in hospice toward the end of this life, I played this for him and he passed on after about one hour. He couldn't have been more at peace than hearing this album at the end.
That is beautiful. So sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your story.
This tune and Just Breath by Pearl Jam have much more meaning since I have been diagnosed with the big C. This post is not meant to be a downer, sorry if some are taking it that way, just stating that RP has helped me deal with my issues by introducing me to music I never would have heard. Music that makes me feel. Music that speaks to me. RP seems to know what I need to hear, when I need to hear it. I will support the station as long as I am able. Long live RP!
Have always liked this tune since RP introduced it to me, but it means a lot more to me since I was diagnosed with the big C. Don’t want this to be a downer post because I AM going to beat this. Everyone remember to hug your loved ones.
I believe this is the third Turkish release I’ve heard on RP. I’ve got to say, I really dig what I’ve heard so far. Keep them coming, Bill! If not for RP …
Saw the tour supporting this album in 1977. To this day of the 100’s of shows I’ve seen this ranks top five. The sound was spot on, the visuals were amazing. I need to get a Time Machine …
