Oh, Ray. I love Ray. He is my "alone in the car & want to sing loudly & maybe cry a little" music. Which is, oh, evverrrry day. Hah.

It ain't about being before your time, it is just a sucky tune. They've done a couple of them. The next track, Love Reign O'er Me is a bit better.
Too true! I do like the next one & just said so on that forum.

&, see, I like this song. So it's not all Who. Just the one directly before this. Haha.

So I am the only person on the planet who isn't really all that wild about this song. Before my time, perhaps? Missing that emotional quality of being "there"? Who knows.

So sorry. You should go tell that to the country radio station. They'll raise their eyebrows and go, "Huh. She's a bisexual, not a lesbian? Well then, by all means, hand me that single and let's give it a spin!" But the character in "Little Plastic Castle" is definitely gay, right?
if i'm not mistaken, she wrote this album while in a relationship with a woman. not positive on that though, just an educated guess from a fellow bisexual. ;) that said, most conservative music venues have more of a problem with ani's outspoken liberal politics... her sexuality takes a backseat to the fact that her lyrics consistently & intelligently poke holes in the faulty logic of many governmental & societal constructs some people hold dear.
