I like any song that manages to use the word "irascible".

Not crazy about the song but "The Cat Empire" does remind me of my house.

Bjork's record producer: "Okay, can you give me just an inkling of what you're going to do on this take?"  Bjork: "No."

The layout of the page with the wiki entry on the side is awesome.  It's really nice to see someone put some thought into a webpage.

Why play this crap over and over again. It dosnt get any better by playing it multiple times. Where is Bruce Springsteen, Uriah heep, Deep Puprle etc ?

Those guys are on the moldy oldy stations.  They're easy to find, they're all over the place.

I'd give it a twenty if I could.  This is as good as popular music gets in my opinion.

By other nations do you mean Canada?  Are you saying the RP listeners are the "dumbed down Americans"?  Manx is wonderful, but this hardly qualifies as music from other nations, Manx is a Canadian who spent a decade or two traveling and learning.  If this is music "from other nations" than so are songs like Paul Simon's "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes"

Solid 7 or 8, Manx can play.

Wow that's eclectic, born on the Isle of Man, hails from Canada, playing sitar on "Afghani Raga."

This stirs up a lot of good memories of some good college kids and it holds up nicely forty years later.

Damn I thought I was the only one who knew who Habib Koite was.  I was also lucky enough to see him in concert, which was mindblowing.  Some of the best musicianship I have ever seen anywhere.

I can't think of a reason to give this song anything but a 10.
