Worked in Top 40 radio when this was a monster hit. We played this too much.  Enough time has passed that it is now just a pleasant memory. Plus, he stopped in once to our station and couldn't have been nicer.

I'm 74 3/4 -- and I just "discovered" Big Thief today, and I love this song. So am I still hip?

Turning 62 this weekend. When it comes to music, I out-hip most of my baby coworkers.

Things I'd Thought I'd Never Hear on Radio Paradise for $400, please.

I was a Top 40 DJ and worked at stations that burned this song to a crisp.  Such a perfect radio record.  After all these years, it holds up.

A song from the future. It's September 2024 and the track list has a 1/10/25 release date.

I'm an old rocker. Rip the knob off, turn it to 11.

This sweet little pop ditty is really, really good.  Doesn't mean I don't need to hear something from Audioslave to clear the palate, but this song is a delight.

Amazing how close they get to the studio vocals.  Not usually the case with live versions.

This song really sucks.

You just can't have a banjo and a violin section play on the same song.

I love RP surprises.  Zero clue as to who this was. Absolute delight when I saw.

ELO was a big deal in 1970’s. Fun to hear this but cut  off at that repetitive refrain, heard too many times.

Kind of the point. You can't get it out of your head.

The hook, the sound, one of those songs , could go on forever.

Agree. That is a big fat hook. So good.

As a believer, I thank you for your thoughtful and kind comment.

Thanks, RP.  Had no clue about this band except for what I've heard here.

This song hit while my Navy squadron was deployed on a cruise. We all had the hots for Susanna Hoffs. Ending the cruise with no flights scheduled, we played the video continuously in the ready room, trying for a record "WLAE" Centurion Patch (commemorating played 100 times).

Did a backstage meet-and-greet with the band at the height of their popularity. We all had the hots for Susanna as well.  Many of us tried to engage her in conversation. What worked, to our surprise, was one of our guys talking rabbits. She apparently had a pet rabbit at the time and we all stood in amazement as they chattered away. The rest of us were invisible.

All these years I thought he was talking about weed when he mentions the fine Colombian ^
Talk about a shift in thought. What a maroon I've been.

He IS talking about weed. Tequila and blow is a terrible combination.
