Ah, Supergrass...in a perfect world, these guys would have been blasting out of car radios for years!!!
It must be a perfect world then, they've been around for at least 10 years! :)

Am I hearing Elliott Smith samples here or am I going mad? And yes some DJ Shadow would go down a treat round these parts!

Never been able to like this for some reason... just too over-blown and pompous for my liking, maybe

It's not true. I'm in India and the African savannah and I've not run into him. This is just a story intended to add romanticism to an otherwise typical musician's suicide.
rrrright, that tiny provincial part of the world called India...

Reminiscent of a possible hybrid between Beck and The Stone Roses

Re all this Cobain stuff, in my opinion you shouldn't judge a person and their behaviour until you've walked a mile in their shoes, that's all

what was it Cobain said? Something about a heaven full of L. Cohen so he could sigh eternally?
Give me a Leonard Cohen afterworld So I can sigh eternally It's from Pennyroyal Tea off In Utero. Haha spot the Nirvana geek. I really love Tori Amos's live version of this song too, I think it was used as a b-side for one of her singles off To Venus and Back

She is derivative of Billie's voice admittedly, but why is that a bad thing, to have such a voice singing both new and covered songs in these times? I first heard her here on RP and was immediately intrigued, especially by the fact that she'd covered an Elliott Smith song, and her records didn't disappoint me
