I like the Moodies... Not sure if I had a choice. My parents played this album and On The Threshold of A Dream in earnest when I was a wee tyke. Regardless... Tuesday Afternoon is one of the most beautiful compositions of that era.

Oh bloody hell. It's that hack Springsteen again. jmk999 wrote:

No. Just an essential element of not seeing what the big deal is. Just another songwriter with a mediocre voice (being generous) and a slightly better than average melody writing talent (being slightly generous). Besides, I am terribly uncool.

the horns give it a David Sylvian feel - a sample, perhaps?

I thought... cool, Sarah Brightman. But wait, she didn't have a trumpet playing like that.
At first I thought... "sounds like Jon Hassell!" (occasional trumpet player for David Sylvian). Does anyone know if that is him? Very nice groove. I'll need to investigate. Thanks, RP!

Is the version played on RP the same as the CD version? I dont have it handy but I recall the CD version as being somewhat different...

I thought this was drech the first time I heard it. Exponentially more every time extra I hear it.

Great tune. Sounds a bit "Porcupine Tree" to me (which is probably why I dig it so much).
