How about, "Joe Jackson presents: The Talking Gang of Clash"? (and I mean that in a *good* way!)

Reminds me of FireFall, if anyone on here is of sufficient vintage to remember them...
Apparently I wasn't quick enough...Still reminds me of FireFall though...

Does anyone else hear a bit of "Major Tom - Coming Home" in this? Maybe it's just the lyrical phrasing....
"Standing there alone...The ship is waiting...All systems are go...Are you sure?...Control is not convinced...But the computer...Has the evidence...'No need to abort'...The countdown starts..."

To be honest, I logged in just after this song was over...
On the other hand, I didn't want to miss my chance to be the first to write a comment!
Based on my personal rating system, it gets a six. That's because I think all music on Radio Paradise deserves at least a six at the outset.
Upon actually *hearing* the tune, we'll see if this one bumps itself up or drags itself down...

My wife has most of her cd's, but I have never listened to them.
I am surprised to find that I am liking this, which just goes to show you that it's sometimes easier to determine musical likes without too many external influences....
Don't really know her other stuff, so I am only commenting on my response to this particular song...

I was all set to run out and buy this...until I realized I bought it about 10 years ago...
Thanks for reminding me of a great tune!!!

My rockin' old fart claim to fame is that I saw The Pretenders (with opening act the English Beat) at a bowling alley lounge in Florissant, Missouri. Top that, youngsters!
The first I had ever heard of them was when they were a new band opening for Elvis Costello...
I don't know if that beats your claim to fame but then again, I am pretty sure I no longer qualify as "youngester" either.

This song isn't producing a strong visceral reaction as yet...I'd have to listen to it again to rate it...
In the meantime, I wanted my first Song Comment on RP to be a first comment on a song....
