For some reason I'm surprised to find out he's a christian https://creationproject.wordpress.com/2007/08/28/ben-harpers-faith/

I'm not sure why you are surprised, many people are Christian (it's a reallllllly BIG TENT) and everyone is welcome.....or not (that is what makes it so cool) .....but being Christian for some means praising God continuously while for others it's about silent praise, and for others it's a constant struggle that we cant quite stop...like I said it's a BIG Tent... peace my brother

btw harper is a nice 7

This did bring a smile to my face, sorta lets you see how bands like Renaissance, and Yes were influenced.

Anyone remember Mickey's Big Mouths? Truly bad stuff!   ...the beer, not this song, of course.

I had a girlfriend she was from Michigan, went to Michigan State, had a 165 IQ. She introduced me to Mickey's which we used to make boilermakers. She had a great Dog, named Emma, and two black cats, Flotsam and Jetsom.  We would drink those boilermakers all night, on friday's bbqing brats, and metts. God i miss those B'Makers! {#Devil_pimp}

The Christain God as, professed in modern American kulture, is "love" just so long as you are not Lesbian, Gay or Tansgender, support abortion rights, and don't like the agenda of the new and improved Repulisivan Party. Now back to the music

Actually, i belong, (happily) to a mainline Christian Church, we have straight, gay, lesbian, TG, members and clergy, that feel no need to hide their true identities. We have a Gay Bishop, who is open, happy, and respected. I hope and pray for you my brother, Christianity is a HUGE TENT, and we are all covered by God's deep and immense love. I really dont care who you sleep with, as long as they are consenting adults. I don't care if you worship trees, rocks, statues, God is open and waiting for you.

{#Pray} An amazing song, by an amazing performer, for a truly worthy gentleman, there are saints all around us, George Harrison was assuredly one of them.

Yes. The guitar lick in the middle still amazes. Is that Steven Stills?

I always thought that Neil was singing at the end "Is it a strange acid change..."

It's great to hear lesser-known Chuck Berry numbers, instead of the 'usual suspects'. Such a great toe-tapping sound with such simple instruments. Classic blues/rock. 8 from the Nottingham jury.

Yes soon as I heard the "flat top" line I was aware of the beatles "borrowing" that line.

Maybe just the first? To metion it I mean. Not everyone here is conviced that all artists who sell well and get lots of commercial airplay suck.

Hey, there is a reason things become "popular" and it does not mean the people that like them are idiots, it can mean the item was done well, and thus deserving it's "populartity" So yes i prefer the Eagles vezion as well

Eric Clapton is a very overrated musician.

A tragedy really — he is an incredible guitar player and a master of his blues techniques.

But he wastes all his talents on sappy, listless love songs and crap like that. Really inane crap.

He is, after you peel away all the layers, just an overblown studio musican who happened to become more than he should have been due to his being in the right places at the right times.....

I really feel sorry for you, dude. I know times are tough, TRUST ME I know! But that does not give you any excuse to vociferously attack any of the artists, who have made it to the point where someone, anyone thinks their musical abilities rate high enough to score them time on vinyl or cd or hell the stage at a deli!  Just go hug your mama, or your bottle, and let go a good cry. We will still be here waitting when you return, and will give you a hug, or high five, as you prefer. But leave the musicians alone. {#Devil_pimp}
