Loved this from the first listen and still love it. A beautiful little song. Must stop scrolling down those comments though - I refuse to let others make me doubt my taste.
For many years I lived in isolation in the African bush. Friends would send me CDs and I could listen to them independent of all other influences. I loved this CD and it was years before I discovered that according to some people I shouldn't love it. I miss those times. And do you know what, I'm happy to ignore 'some people'. Love what you love and forget the rest of 'em.
Perfect serendipity. This was the final song in their brilliant Nottingham show last night and went to bed singing it, dreamt it, woke up singing it, came into work and put RP on as usual and it's the first track I hear!
Typical example of why 80's synth pop drum machine was crap. God awful!
Personally I think this is sounding better than ever - and there was a time I didn't think the synth pop genre had longevity. I've changed my mind. Love this.
Was sent this CD by a friend when I lived in the middle of nowhere and had no access to any popular culture. I loved it then and still love it. Your taste is honest when you're on your own.
Is there a day that goes by here in Paradise that we don't hear Mark Knopfler? Maybe, but it sure doesn't feel like it.
I hope not.
Ideally we should be hearing him 2 or 3 times a day. At least.
Anyone who is able to stop you from what you are doing (no matter how 'important') with just a couple of chords, deserves to be in our lives a lot. We need to stop more often.
Strange that I should feel slightly embarassed to be enjoying this. OK so there's a element of pantomime about it, but then music is entertainment after all.... We love your broad church Bill & Rebecca!
It ain't what I call rock and roll.
Who said it was?
Keep playing Radiohead Bill. Lots of it! Surely this station is their spiritual home?

Amazes me that all the low-raters don't just go and find a rock-mix or mainstream station to listen to. Why stay and moan?
I hope not.

It's a good job all songs aren't as good as this otherwise I'd never get anything done.
Yup most of us do. However, as with U2, the haters are a bloody noisy bunch...
It is unquestionably good in my opinion. In fact I would say it is genius and this is sometimes lost in its over-familiarity.
BLOODY BRILLIANT!
