I love this track. Really like hearing the foot tap in the background as well. I saw Tommy here in Ottawa a couple years ago (in a church - great venue). My life changed after that show.
I'm a huge TD fan, and this is one of his best albums.
Couldn't agree more. I absolutely love this album. I must admit that I prefer this version over the Dan Hicks version, mainly because this is the 'original' to me.
I first heard this version as the soundtrack to a very cool Lance Armstrong/Nike commercial (I'll post a link if I find it). I had no idea who did this version (and have been searching for a few months).
This is an excellent cover, IMO. More raw than the original, and the guitar is very nice.
Thanks again RP for helping without knowing.
I totally agree. This album is good front to back. Some gems, some just OK tracks, but pretty solid as a whole.
This tune rocks with a bit of funk for flavour. It's great played loud.

Couldn't agree more. Basia opened for Daniel Lanois here earlier this year, both of them accompanied by a full orchestra. Magical night. Basia is a true talent.
I first heard this on the Northern Exposure television show soundtrack. It turned me on to Booker T and the MGs. They played the Ottawa Blues Festival a few years back - amazing set!
Fantastic album, front to back. Daniel Lanois has a long list of artists he has worked with and contributed to their commercial success, but he is truly an artist in his own right as well. This album and Shine (which followed) are favourites of mine.
First listen - makes me think of opening movie credit music. Not a bad thing. Another departure for Norah. Nice to see she's trying different things. It works for me.

Hits the spot today.

My fav off Brother in Arms. I love the groove.
Exactly where this took me as well! Very strong album.
