Have been following this brilliant talent since '09 when she was, what? 17, 18?  Heard her first here on RP, when I was first turned on to RP.  Have seen her several times - unforgettable.
Ain't life grand.

Would travel endlessly far to see them in person again.
Consistently high energy and without pretense.

As sweet, moving and exhilarating now as it was then, and then some.  The final bars still send chills down my spine.

I'm with scraig.  This guy singing (if you can call it that) makes me want to hurl myself off of the nearest bridge.  Luckily, the nearest bridge is not within walking distance.  Lyrics yeah OK he has a way with words.  But I can't get past the agony of his droning to appreciate any lofty ideas of his.

Like most CSN songs, this hasn't aged well.
Time to retire this one Bill

I believe your mind needs corrective lenses. CS&N with Y on occasion, were the foundation of a generation.
Dylan and the Stones were there, as were Hendrix and the Beatles. There is nothing on this earth that can bring
back the beliefs, experiments, confrontations, the challenge to change. Regardless of how all this came out , it
was the energy and the dream that may never be reproduced again anywhere. If you haven't just said NO to your
draft board your unlikley to understand.

That's just one way of looking at it. The success of a song to inspire or simply to bring a bit of joy does not depend upon the complexity of the arrangement or the degree of imagination involved. In fact some of the most-loved songs have very simple arrangements - think early Beatles, Buddy Holly, etc.

I have to agree with coloradojohn on this one even though this is the first time I've heard this song. The singer's high notes are not really bad, they are in key and well sung. The production may be have a bit of a flat sound due to its simplicity, but again, that doesn't prevent good songs from bringing joy to its listeners.

As an audiophile (of sorts) I enjoy well recorded, well produced, and oftentimes complex music through a true hi-end system, but at the same time, I can enjoy listening to a great song even through a clock radio. {#Smile}

Just my $.02 worth.
