Such a great song and this group sounds better than ever live. I got to see them perform at Desert Trip and Daltry was amazing. Thanks RP for the context and continuity of the music of my generation. I love the new stuff and the old still stands~

Love her voice. I met her on a YMCA  camping trip across the US when we were 15. She played and sang like an angel even then.

The album that changed the fucking world.

First saw them at NYC Academy of Music ~ November 1971. They opened for Procol Harum. King Crimson was the second act.....

Agreed!

The song is about a woman who's relationship has broken up and she gets in the car and takes herself on a road trip alone. She is courageous, she is thoughtful and she returns to herself by taking this journey. She knows she will not always be alone but for now, she is
on her own.

At first I heard Brian Ferry, then Bowie, then Bono, all the way

Glad to hear this, just read a positive review in the current New Yorker. The comment was that St. Vincent complements David Byrne's voice
perfectly. Thank to Bill for playing it

just saw this group live in Petaluma, they had the crowd on their feet for hours. An eclectic take on traditional music. Wonderful!
