Can you hear that knocking in your soul
No, no, you don't listen
Can you hear that knocking overload
No, no, you don't listen
Never see the high beyond the low
No wonder, you lay twitching
Do you share the rush to be alone
Come over, we'll go missing
We'll go where there's no snow
We'll go and they won't know
But just please don't give me your word
Do do do
Can you hear that knocking in your soul
No wonder, you don't listen
We'll go where there's no snow
Just please don't give me your word
Do do do...
Just please don't give me your word
All that matters is the music tonight
Just please don't give me your word
All that matters is the music tonight
But you don't listen
But you don't listen
Ah you don't listen
So, we'll go running, running til we start again
Yeah we'll run, we'll run away
Yeah, we'll go running, running til we start again
Yeah we'll run, we'll run away
Yeah, we'll go running, running til we start again
And we'll run, we'll run away
No, no, you don't listen
Can you hear that knocking overload
No, no, you don't listen

Delays

Delays are an English indie band formed in Southampton, which consisted of brothers Greg Gilbert and Aaron Gilbert, Colin Fox and Rowly until Greg Gilbert's death in 2021. The band's sound combines guitar and synths and featured Greg Gilbert's distinctive falsetto lead vocals. They have released four albums to date, the first three of which made the Top 30 in the UK Albums Chart.
A gem if ever there was one. A little bit like Stereophonics except in a higher register.
Reminds me of the Cocteau Twins

Talented artist. Let's hope he is ok. If you read along the GoFundMe it points to major deficiencies in the NHS system, where care is strictly rationed. Here in the States he would be receiving state of the art immunotherapy at a top academic center
Nope. I work at a Tier-1 academic referral hospital (150 beds, 155 physicians in 12 specialties) and we treat everyone who walks in the door, regardless of ability to pay. This includes things like CRISPR and oncology immunotherapy. We have patients whose outstanding bills are in the millions of dollars - I doubt we ever see a penny of that, but it's not an issue for our faculty or physicians.
We also run a regional pediatric 24/7 ER that maintains a pretty hefty deficit. No one's talking about shutting it down for lack of funds; in fact the plan is to expand it.
The tiresome health care debate in the US boils down to who's going to pay - not who's going to be treated.
yes, it's a guy singing - yes, he has a high voice.....why does that make so many of you think less of the song ? sheesh
Yes, to me and probably many others it's quite a surprise that the lead singer is a man. But where did you get the impression that many of us think less of the song because of it? I don't think this narrow mindedness is a common thing among RP-listeners and I don't read it in the comments.
The singer must be very low on testosterone.
Tell that to Frankie Valli. I dare you.

Thanks for that good explanation.

From the Wikipedia column to the immediate right: " ... The band's sound combines guitar and synths and features Greg Gilbert's distinctive falsetto lead vocals. ..."
Greg, the singer of this beautiful song, is very sick and desperately needs help. Please help if you can! https://www.gofundme.com/give4greg
