Funny to hear comments like this...When you grow up hearing Persian music it sounds perfectly normal but, yea...that's obviously not the norm I need to realize. Vocal control is pretty incredible compared with conventional Western music. All that's missing here is the dancing!
It's very hard to avoid flaming after such an ignorant comment. Enya is a Celt, Azam Ali a Persian, and their works come from their different cultural and musical traditions. Other than being women singers, they've got f*ck-all to do with each other. The idea of Azam Ali ripping off Enya is just bonkers.
That you don't like either is fine - no shame on you. That you conflate them is shamefully ignorant.
"Sex is a lot like pizza. When it's good, it's really good. When it's bad. it's still pretty good."
Nice for a soundtrack. Gave it a 6. I'm quite sure it will be a 5 next time.
Ok... Hows this
Its an Enya ripoff because they both SUCK!
Who cares about the origin or tradition.
Ugh. Digging yourself deeper into the pit of ignorance, ck.
Can we hear more Azam Ali please!

A decent analysis even though I disagree.
This is a shimmering, simmering delight.
I don't see why - Azam Ali left Iran as a young girl, and now lives in the USA. See her Wikipedia page. I'd lay pretty heavy odds that the theocracy would loathe her, though the people probably bop like crazy to her music. This is a terrific album, not a duff track on it, both exotic and, in parts, erotic. Highly recommended.

Or xenophobia for that matter, apparently.
