Down Like Silver

Down Like Silver is a folk-pop duo formed by Peter Bradley Adams and Caitlin Canty.
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Adams credits his grandfather, a former professional jazz clarinetist and accomplished pianist, as being his earliest musical inspiration. Adams began playing piano at the age of 6 and continued studying piano throughout high school at Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Massachusetts and college. Adams was a founding member of the folk pop duo eastmountainsouth in 2001, alongside Kat Maslich Bode. He began his solo career in 2005 with the release of a self-titled EP.
Canty was born in Vermont. At age 17, she was given a guitar as a Christmas gift and learned to play from a VHS tape of guitar lessons. After college, she moved to New York to pursue a career in music. She recorded her first album Green (2007) in a makeshift home studio.
Down Like Silver released its eponymous EP in 2011 and a single, "Light That Match" in 2013. Many of the tracks on the album are co-sung, as opposed to duets, the songs are mainly sung by both Adams and Canty simultaneously throughout. The Massachusetts Daily Collegian said about the album, “At times, Canty’s and Adams’ voices sound less like two vocalists singing their own vocal lines, and more like a pianist voicing two parts together.”

She wanted this song played at her memorial when she died. The family overruled the song not ready to let go.
I still have a hard time forgiving her for giving up. I miss her.
Caitlin Canty - I Never
(Still waiting to hear back on my marriage proposal.)
Damn, this song is almost too beautiful, if there can be such a thing.
Eastmountainsouth was a duo formed by Peter Bradley Adams (with Kat Bode). They split up after recording one album.
Mr. Adams then teamed up with Caitlin Canty to form the duo Down Like Silver. They broke up after one album.
I think I'm detecting a pattern here, Peter...
Where is this river?
It's almost hypnotic; very nice. I would also like to know where this river is.
Which reminds me: time to send another contribution to RP in appreciation for great music which often makes my day better.
Plus it give me some hope for the music world to hear so many talented artists getting the exposure they deserve.
Given recent events, why can't we all get together and sing instead of shooting each other? Or go hear music like this if you don't feel like singing, or can't sing. I just don't understand all the hate. Frustration and anger, yes. Much could be better. But hate? No.
It makes me feel the same way that
To Build A HomeThe Cinematic Orchestra does.
Both 10++
She is amazing
so beautiful it hurts
I'll have some of what you're on.
Where is this river?
I'll assume your forgave your mom for dying after you learned more about addiction.
I'll assume you forgave the OP for their egoic struggle after you learned more about parental neglect through the lens of grief and loss.
Let's all forgive one another, if we can bear it.
Superb.
