Tegan & Sara

Tegan and Sara () is a Canadian indie pop duo formed in 1998 in Calgary, Alberta. The band is led by identical twin sisters, Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Keirsten Quin (born September 19, 1980). Both musicians are songwriters and multi-instrumentalists.

The duo has released ten studio albums and earned a Grammy nomination in 2012 for their video album Get Along. Their most recent album, Crybaby, was released on October 21, 2022. Their memoir, High School, was released on September 24, 2019, and in the fall of 2022, the TV series based on the memoir was released on Amazon Freevee.

This song is absolutely fantastic. I love the way it builds momentum, I really like the singing and the instrumentation and it has been a favorite of me and my wife's for at least the past decade.

I absolutely CAN'T STAND the way she sings. SO contrived and overdone. I strongly suspect she is trying to be Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders, and it's NOT WORKING. Might be OK to listen to if she cut the "I'm such a sexy tough girl" act....

This is from 1999 but they are still going strong, putting out quality music and touring constantly. Very popular in Australia for some unknown reason.
