This holy circus camp
Aladdin and his lamp
A feverish daydreams and suerte loca
My face in magazines
The lesbian James Dean
I got all I ever wanted
So I don't mind saying
This is how the good life's supposed to be
The good life for you, for me
Well I don't mind saying
This is how the good life's supposed to be
The good life for you, for me
Down miles of empty road
With acolytes in tow
You could be Persephone
A pigeon through the glass
A drunken trapeze act
Well you got all you ever wanted
So I don't mind saying
This is how the good life's supposed to be
The good life for you, for me
Well I don't mind saying
This is how the good life's supposed to be
The good life for you, for me
Well I don't mind saying
This is how the good life's supposed to be
The good life for you, for me
Well I don't mind saying
This is how the good life's supposed to be

Cracker

Cracker is an American rock band formed in 1990 by lead singer David Lowery and guitarist Johnny Hickman. The band's first album Cracker was released in 1992 on Virgin Records; it included the single "Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now)", which went to #1 on the U.S. Modern Rock chart. The band's follow-up, the 1993 album Kerosene Hat included the hit songs "Low", "Get Off This", and "Euro-Trash Girl".
Cracker has released nine studio albums and several compilations, collaborations, solo projects and live albums. The band mix influences and sounds from rock, punk, grunge, psychedelia, country, blues and folk.
This is so not my cup of tea ... and yet it's an 8, and in danger of becoming a 9. I don't know what Cracker have got, but it's some good stuff.
Yep! I Agree. I just bumped it up from 6 to 8. It is now on "M Favorites" list. ...it kinda grew on me!
You can definitely hear that late '90s alt-rock sound.
I think they got the order exactly reversed. I was there to see Cracker. They were good but not very dynamic, just played their music and got on with it. As the first act they only got 30 minutes which was a crime. The BoDeans played perfectly good pop music. Cheap Trick was a bore and I left halfway through. A couple good hooks and a great name isn't enough to sustain for 25+ years.
I don't mind saying this is what a great song is supposed to be!
Almost as good as "Low"...
