Waiting to capture that moment
Postponement
Suspension of rational movement
So bang on the hour of twelve
To the forest clearing we'll delve
With guns to our heads, for we know
That heaven awaits us
Dreaming of that perfect home by the sun
Run, Christian, run
Still dreaming of that perfect home by the sun
Run, Christian, run
Roaming
Roaming from all tribulation
Leaving
Leaving behind all damnation
With women and children in line
The men will then gather behind
With knives to their throats they'll depart
On the midnight train to Jordan
Still dreaming of that perfect home by the sun
Run, Christian, run
Wishing for that perfect home by the sun
Come kingdom come
Ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Super Furry Animals are a Welsh rock band formed in Cardiff in 1993. For the duration of their professional career, the band consisted of Gruff Rhys (lead vocals, guitar), Huw Bunford (lead guitar, vocals), Guto Pryce (bass guitar), Cian Ciaran (keyboards, synthesisers, various electronics, occasional guitar, vocals), Dafydd Ieuan (drums, vocals). An earlier incarnation of the band featured actor Rhys Ifans on lead vocals.
Super Furry Animals has recorded nine UK Albums Chart Top 25 studio albums (one BPI certified Gold and four certified Silver), plus numerous singles, EPs, compilations and collaborations. The band were known as central to the Cool Cymru era during which they were dominant, and are the act with the most top 40 hits without reaching the UK Singles Chart Top 10. Over the course of nine albums, Super Furry Animals has been described as "one of the most imaginative bands of our time" by Billboard, while according to a 2005 article in NME, "There's a case to be argued that [Super Furry Animals] were the most important band of the past 15 years".
It was surprisingly effective / inspirational just as we crossed over to the top of the Verrazano bridge into Brooklyn. Very memorable.
I think it's anti-cult. They're just using a Christian cult here to make their point.
In a cult, there's a person at the top that knows it's a scam.
When that person dies you have a religion.
Basically, just check them out - my fellow countrymen, so a tad biased - feel free to ignore their Welsh language tracks (your loss! 😁) as there's plenty of quality around them 👍
interesting tune
If the rapture comes soon we’ll be in good shape
The Supreme Court rulings will be 3-0 for our freedoms here on Planet Earth
The supreme court does NOT make decisions for Planet Earth, just the USA.
In a cult, there's a person at the top that knows it's a scam.
When that person dies you have a religion.
I like that.
i think it's just criticizing the ridiculousness of religious doctrine. and since they sound like westerners to me, they're probably just going after the most relevant nonsense.
and i think you meant to say "imagine the brou-ha-ha there would if if someone made a song titled Run , Run." That's when you'd start to hear whining. there's enough anti-semetic vitriol out there, the jews are used to it.
Didn't he star in The Right Stuff?
You're right; you haven't "listened carefully" at all, but it's not the most engaging and exciting of tunes either.
"Bunf had a spate of being logged onto the internet most of the time, and he got heavily into doomsday cult websites, as an observer, not a participator. He printed out quite a lot of essays by these nutters, and I wrote the lyrics from there. And also when we were on tour in America we watched a lot of Christian television shows, the sort where preachers say 'It's not your money, it's God's money, so send in your cheques!'
"Cian had demo'd a repetitive theme with this loop that became the intro and outro, and I added a country rock verse, by which time Bunf had learnt the pedal steel. Bunf found the title and I started singing it on top of Cian's demo. Again we fancied ourselves as a vocal band."
Never heard anything from these chaps that meets with my approval, sorry.
Except this, which is growing on me.
