If I could look beyond your face
And photograph your hidden place
Would I find you smiling in the picture
I don't know what you want
Because you don't know
So what's the point of asking
You're almost happy
Almost content
But your head hurts
Far too many ways to go
We learn so much but never know
Where to look
Or when we should stop looking
I can love the whole of you.
The poetry I stole from you
And hide inside my stomach
You're almost happy
Almost content
But your head hurts
It's easy to get lost in you
And fall asleep inside of you
I want to return to you
A reason to be here
A reason to be here
No, I don't know what you want
As you don't know
So what's the point of asking
You're almost happy
Almost content
But your head hurts
You're almost happy
You're almost content
But your head hurts
And photograph your hidden place
Would I find you smiling in the picture
I don't know what you want
Because you don't know
So what's the point of asking
You're almost happy
Almost content
But your head hurts
Far too many ways to go
We learn so much but never know
Where to look
Or when we should stop looking
I can love the whole of you.
The poetry I stole from you
And hide inside my stomach
You're almost happy
Almost content
But your head hurts
It's easy to get lost in you
And fall asleep inside of you
I want to return to you
A reason to be here
A reason to be here
No, I don't know what you want
As you don't know
So what's the point of asking
You're almost happy
Almost content
But your head hurts
You're almost happy
You're almost content
But your head hurts

Thanks to RadioParadise, I'll be buying a new CD this weekend! I loved this song--I was a big fan of their first album.

Love her voice! Saw them perform at the second Lilith Fair tour in Phoenix -- they were good! Nice to hear something other than Not An Addict, even though I still love that song, too.

Actually I think she sounds a bit more like Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls, at least in her lower register. Either way this is pretty boring and bland.

Is it just me, or is the percussion on an off beat? Or something else odd--what is it? I liked it. :)

this is from a "new" album?!? I downloaded the Almost Happy album over 2 years ago from an Asian website and listened to it endlessly for months. It was only a single disc though. Somewhere along the way I lost the mp3s. Couldn't find the album anywhere online. So they're finally going to release it for real? Definitely recommend giving the album a try - there's something about it that just gets to you.

I bought this CD and am really enjoying it.
Bill, could you please play "Another Year" or "Home" from the same disc? Both are great tunes.

Yawn.

Hope they're aware that being happy mostly ain't the best thing for making great music! (but 'almost' is ok ;)).

Utterly bland. Not offensive but really nothing interesting going on.

K's Choice is one of those bands where once you buy a CD, you have to listen to the whole thing. Almost Happy is a great album, I'd love to hear more...!
