It seems like every story told about us isn't meant to be
We fly on wings of gold all the way back home to me
But what I'm thinking of just this time
Why don't you lay your head down in my arms, in my arms
Lay your head down in my arms, in my arms
You know my love this was no dream of mine
But the way you ride those waves makes me want to follow you blind
And what I'm thinking of just this time
Why don't you lay your head down in my arms, in my arms.
Lay your head down in my arms.
Lay your head down in my arms, in my arms
Lay your head down, in my arms.

I think it sucks. Well, maybe not sucks, but I don't like it. Her voice is kinda sexy, but not very good. And there's certainly a bit that sounds just like "Waiting for My Man", which I'd rather hear.
Everyone disagrees with you so I just thought I should say I can hear it.
Not in my ears, and I would LOVE to have more Laurie on RP.
I'm with the Lou Reed channeling crowd in this case. ;)
Sure sounds like it, don't it. Even if it's not, I'd rather have her singing than Lou Reed any day.
It's lovely, but I'm betting it'd piss me off sufficiently if I was PMSing.
Same vibe, intended that way if the album's minimal, Velvetish opener, "It's All a Lie" is any indication, except maybe for the polyrhythmic handclaps heard here. And that's great. Composed by the lady herself. Her albums in French are great too.
