Jon Redfern

Jon Redfern is an English singer-songwriter, born in 1985 in Brighton, East Sussex.
His jazz-influenced style of folk music has been compared (unfavorably, at least by a BBC reviewer -- but more enthusiastically by others) to Nick Drake and John Martyn. He is a former member of the trio Tarras, and is of mixed Chinese-English ancestry.
His singing first attracted attention when he was with Tarras, a band based in north-east England. Members of the band composed much of their repertoire and this gave Redfern the opportunity to develop his ideas as a songwriter. After Tarras disbanded, he continued to work in the north but also appeared occasionally in London where he collaborated with multi instrumentalist and arranger Patrick Durkan and bass player Joss Clapp.

No trace of Jon Redfern on the web, really strange...
ETA: ok, he sang higher and worser at the end. A 4 it is.
Haaaa - "Helgi" is angry - that's quite rare!
I agree - a silly little song!
No, you're not. That warbling sound is a typical sign of good ol' Auto-Tune pitch correction, and apparently they had to use lots of it during the production of this track. I didn't expect to hear something of the like on RP one day...
Yeah, I just came here to make sure I wasn't crazy, it's really, really terrible overuse of autotuning. Voted 1, it's too bad they couldn't find someone who can sing for this track, which seems like it could have been nice.
Good ear. Sounds like a little echo was added in just for good measure.
And here I thought he just had a great voice.

Honestly, it sounds like bad pitch correction but I can't tell if its on purpose. Is it the MP3?
I don't mind the song otherwise...
