you ought to know better than to lie to me

you're making it harder than it ought to be
but it's better that you tell me now
than to lead me on somehow
Cause it just break my heart

you don't care what you do
you're a very pretty girl

the thing you just don't see
when your lying to me
is your breaking my heart
yeah breakin' my heart
last night you told me you were mine
tonight you say you changed your mind
Don't care what you say
Don't care what you do
you're a very pretty girl
I'Yeah m giving more love than your taking away
I'm giving more love than your takin away
yeah I said I'm givin more love than your taking away
I'm givin givin givin
Take it baby
you're a very pretty girl
you're hypnotizing put me
in your trance
now you got me
I don't stand a chance
the thing that is bringing me down
think you're playin' around
well it just breaks my heart

don't care what you do
don't care what you say
You're a very pretty girl
You're a very pretty girl
Oh You're a very pretty girl

Christopher Joseph Isaak (born June 26, 1956) is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist and occasional actor. Noted for his reverb-laden rockabilly revivalist style and wide vocal range, he is popularly known for his breakthrough hit and signature song "Wicked Game"; as well as international hits such as "Blue Hotel", "Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing", and "Somebody's Crying".
With a career spanning four decades, Isaak has released a total of 13 studio albums, toured extensively with his band Silvertone, and received numerous award nominations. His sound and image are often compared to those of Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, and Duane Eddy.
Isaak is closely associated with film director David Lynch, who has used his music in numerous films. As an actor, he played supporting roles and bit parts in films such as Married to the Mob, The Silence of the Lambs, Little Buddha, That Thing You Do! and Lynch's Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, and starred in two television series: the sitcom The Chris Isaak Show and the talk show The Chris Isaak Hour.

Otherwise, profoundly 'meh' to me...
Actually it was not a typical expression, it was so atypical that it deserved to be singled out and criticized. Threatening physical violence against someone (even when said in jest) is not something that should be taken lightly. In some cases, threats like that, would be followed up by a visit from the police. Please remember to switch your brain on before making a comment. I make that recommendation based on the many comments I have made with the brain switch set to the off position.
It's the way we talk nowadays. We say things like "punch back twice as hard", "if the other guy brings a knife to the fight, we bring a gun", "keep our boot on the neck of BP", etc. You get the gist.
This has no depth whatsoever.
I'm not a big fan, but Chris Isaak is far from "finished". He has a pretty large, loyal following. He may not make "hit records", but that is not the only definition of success.
oh i see "douche bag" isn't offensive.
Not when you're using it as a descriptive quality to explain the way someone acts. I didn't call anyone a douche bag, I just said Chris Isaak acts like a douche bag, which he does - he may or may not be one. This other dude called this guy an idiot... pretty harshly blunt... it's all about intent. And in no offense to women, or women hygiene products.... but douche bag has come to mean a certain type of guy in slang, clearly.
Jeez, calm down. He clearly doesn't like Isaak, and he might have expressed it a little immaturely, but that was a pretty typical expression - it's not like he'd actually punch Chris in the face. Calling him an idiot is just as offensive/inappropriate.
I don't like Isaak either. He acts like a douche bag and his TV show was beyond terrible.

I believe her next word was "Ick" accompanied by a disgusted face.

I agree. The sound of this song makes me sick.
I believe her next word was "Ick" accompanied by a disgusted face.
Isn't this what brought Elvis so much attention, accolades & thrust Rock n Roll into the limelight?
I believe her next word was "Ick" accompanied by a disgusted face.
Don't forget he's also a comedian. Plus the music sounds good.

Yes, the only memorable thing was the model, Helena Christensen.
