You will be with me
And when you'll talk
You'll be talking to me
But your secret world
As we walk on by
With the sky full of birds
And the dusk go approaching
Climb the long grassy track
to the top of Winter Hill
Climb the real rocky track
I'll see you back on Winter Hill
Wherever you go
You will return safe
And when you will walk
You'll be walking with me
But if comes the day
You meet someone new
You will be wth them
But I'll be thinking of you
Climb the long grassy track
to the top of Winter Hill
Stay with me see so far
at the top I'll see you back
I'll see you back on Winter Hill
Where she traveled far
Yeah we stayed apart
But she crashed alone
On Winter Hill
Climb the long grassy track to the top
I can't turn back
Climb the real rocky track
to the top of Winter Hill
I'll see you back on Winter Hill

Doves are an English indie rock band, formed in Manchester in 1998. The band is composed of twin brothers Jez (guitar, vocals) and Andy Williams (drums, vocals), and Jimi Goodwin (lead vocals, bass, guitar). Additionally, the band employs Martin Rebelski, as a touring and session musician on keyboards. The band released five studio albums between 2000 and 2020, three of which reached #1 on the UK album charts. A compilation album, The Places Between: The Best of Doves, was released in April 2010.
Doves went on hiatus in 2010. During this time, Goodwin released his first solo album, Odludek (2014), while the Williams brothers regrouped as Black Rivers. In December 2018, Doves announced they were ending their hiatus by performing for the Teenage Cancer Trust at London's Royal Albert Hall on 29 March 2019. Further festivals, including some dates with Noel Gallagher, were subsequently announced. The band released two new songs: "Carousels" and "Prisoners", in June and July 2020 respectively. Their fifth studio album The Universal Want was released in September 2020.
Eh...you Brits are so passe anyway....what do you know.
In the context of President Trump, that post is hugely funny though there is no way you could know in 2015.
America WAS great........
You're right there. I wouldn't want to wipe his microphone down down after a gig. His vocals also annoy my ears after a few tracks, which is a shame because I feel they are great band.
edit: how do you rate a great song when you can't bear the vocalist?
Still, we have faith that the Dear Leaders will provide in the fullness of time :)

I respectfully disagree...this song is a solid 7. (In fact, this entire album is songs from 7 to 10 in quality.) But I saw your favorites and least favorites list and we have vastly different taste in music. You rated Townshend's "My Love Opens the Door" a 1... it's one of my favorite songs of all time. Similarly for several other of your least favorite songs. You're right though, that RP sometimes puts together some terrible sets with nothing better than a 3. Usually in the middle of the night or early Sunday morning.

Yes, very nice!!
This was their set opener at Sasquatch this summer, and it was awesome!
