Bonobo

Simon Green (born 30 March 1976), known by his stage name Bonobo, is an English musician, producer, and DJ based in Los Angeles. He debuted with a trip hop aesthetic and has since explored more upbeat approaches as well as jazz and world music influences. His electronic sound incorporates the use of organic instrumentation and is recreated by a full band in live performances.

For those curious about the cover photo, it's of Walla Crag and Catbells, with Derwent Water, in the English Lake District, taken from the Castlerigg campsite. A place I know very well.

This quite likeable song doesn't wear well for me over time, but I do enjoy it in the rotation.  It was "new" when I started listening to RP, so it has that nostalgia "bonus" for me.

Bonobo rocks my world every time. Just beautiful funky music. His new stuff has lost a little of the funk but has a lot more of the soul. On balance, a satisfying evolution. :)

Awesome. I climbed Catbells once, many years ago. It really is as lovely as the photo around there.
