Matthew Paul Miller (born June 30, 1979), known by his stage name Matisyahu (; מתתיהו‎), is an American reggae singer, rapper, beatboxer, and musician.

Known for blending spiritual themes with reggae, rock and hip hop beatboxing sounds, Matisyahu's 2005 single "King Without a Crown" was a Top 40 hit in the United States. Since 2004, he has released seven studio albums as well as five live albums, two remix CDs and two DVDs featuring live concerts. Call me crazy but I like it... also I can't  see what so many people dislike about it... unless it sounds like their kids' music to them, and I guess, to some folks, that's not allowed. Just guessin' I guess :-)

I felt I needed to skip this one.  But then I saw the rating and comments and decided to listen to the rest.   It's not something I would listen to on purpose (again) but a collective 3.8 just seems mean.

Wow, 3.8 is an all time low score from the ones I've seen. I wonder how songs are chosen to remove from the mix, does anyone have any insight into this? 

One other point I've wondered about ratings, is there a place to see the highest rated songs?

What?  How DARE Bill not play exactly what you want to hear 24/7?  Seriously, I don't care for this either and was surprised to hear it here, but come on.  Ain't that what we dig about RP?  Sure, I hear  some things I don't like at all (mainly stuff from the ever tortured singer/songwriter vein), but it is totally worth it to be exposed to new stuff.  Ignore the whiners, Bill, keep throwing stuff at us...we'll keep whatever sticks!

Indeed, mixing it up is great...Compliments to RP for continuing to do this...However, this is absolute shite...for a moment I thought I was listening to mainstream Top 40 on Terrestrial Radio - where every song sounds the same...Yikes...makes me want to jump off a tall building...Its really bloody awful.

Sometimes I think Bill is just messing with us to see if we are paying attention!  It's all good...  And a reminder that we really are hearing really good music almost all the time.

Shocked to hear this play on RP and also to see that it was released as late as 2012.. the melody is so bland and simplistic that I thought it was a pop relic that never made it in the 90's.  I guess this makes me more grateful for more complex and thought provoking music!  I rated it as a 2 only because the lyrics are optimistic.
