So I packed my things and ran
Far away from all the trouble
I had caused with my two hands
Alone we traveled
Armed with nothing but a shadow
We fled far away
Hold your horses now
We sleep until the sun goes down
Through the woods we ran
Deep into the mountain sound
Some had scars, and some had scratches
It made me wonder about their past
And as I looked around, I began to notice
That we were nothing like the rest
Hold your horses now
We sleep until the sun goes down
Through the woods we ran
Deep into the mountain sound

I didn't know that musical "pattern" had a name; you learn something every day. It seems like a "sing-along" prompting tactic; good for outdoor festivals and arena-rock bands.
Makes me want to kick my cat

Music just for me? Wohoo!
Epically horrible song.
Makes me want to kick my cat
4 years later and I still feel the same way, but now down to only 1 cat.
Pop songs generally have a short shelf life. This stands up better than most.

Our neighbor has a big "estate" home and he rents it out to big name anonymous organizations every year for The Coachella ... much to the annoyance of most of the neighbors.
He rented it out to Universal/ Republic Records and they brought in some of their artist that were performing each night.
Next year he said I could come over... his way of trying to make the neighbors happy.
Hey! I'm always happy!
