I'm feeling shyer and the world gets darker
Hold yourself a little higher
Bridge that gap just further
And all your being
I'd ask you to give it up
Oh ancient feeling love
So beautifully dressed up
Feeling shyer, I'm feeling shyer
I'm feeling shyer
Maybe you should call her
Deep in the night for her
And all your being I'd ask you to give it up
I'd ask you to give it up
Hold yourself a little higher
Bridge that gap just further
And all your being
I'd ask you to give it up
Oh ancient feeling love
So beautifully dressed up
Feeling shyer, I'm feeling shyer
I'm feeling shyer
Maybe you should call her
Deep in the night for her
And all your being I'd ask you to give it up
I'd ask you to give it up
London Grammar

London Grammar are an English indie pop band formed in Nottingham in 2009. The band consists of Hannah Reid, Dan Rothman and Dominic “Dot” Major. Their debut extended play, Metal & Dust, was released in February 2013 by Metal & Dust Recordings, while their debut album, If You Wait, was released a few months later in September. The album reached No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Double Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). The band's second studio album, Truth Is a Beautiful Thing, was released in June 2017, reaching No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart. The latest album,
Californian Soil, was released on 16 April 2021 and became their second-consecutive No. 1 album in the United Kingdom.
Once you take away the vocal performance the music leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully the second album (there must be one in the works) has music of more depth and lasting appeal. Otherwise she needs to go solo :)
I agree in small part -but I think London Grammar provides the perfect back-up for Hannah Reid's amazing vocal talents. When you have that kind of voice it needs to be front and centre - carrying the song - with just enough melody behind it to provide the base. I get swept away with every song I hear by London Grammar, because Hannah Reid takes me there.
”I’m feeling Shire...”
That's it Grammarcop, you're cut off; no soup for you!! ; )
I don't rate your comment very highly either.
I bought this album mostly on the strength of her vocals and it's not worn well sadly. Is there any there there?

Can't say I agree, but I do see your point. The music is actually quite atmospheric and hypnotic (War on Drugs and The Boxer Rebellion) and the lyrics are very personal and introspective — but then Hannah Reid starts to sing and holy shit. Everything is transported to another level, at least for me.
These guys posted an entire concert of their California Soil album during COVID and it is a wonderful and free masterpiece in both performance and engineering. It is worth looking up on YouTube. It highlights the talents of all three of them.
thank you for this!
incredible voice !

Pretentious repetitive nonsense.
But enough about your song comment.
Maybe you should focus on spelling, first.
People, it seems we have a new troll.
I'm afraid not. calle01 is a well-known troll. Have a look at his ratings, that says it all.
You'll be wearing a stained raincoat?
