God Is an Astronaut are an Irish post-rock band from County Wicklow, formed in 2002 by Niels and Torsten Kinsella. Their style employs elements of electronic music, krautrock, and space rock, reminiscent of Tangerine Dream. The band consists of Niels and Torsten Kinsella and Lloyd Hanney. They have released eleven studio albums to date.

Hmm, I'd not describe these wicklow boys as serene, as most of their music has dark and disturbing undertones. Saying that, this album is a little lighter than previous albums.

I really enjoy this album, but this track feels a bit like a rough draft compared to the excellence in The Witness by Adam Jones that he composed for an ad. I’d definitely recommend giving that one a listen too.
