Early in the morning in a little Texas town
Everybody's already grooving
Coming from miles around
Well, they're walking through the woods
'Fore the sun come up
Drinking their coffee from their favorite cup
Everybody's stoned and Lone Star beer is flowing
Pretty soon
Pretty soon we'll all float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Come on, everybody
Take this trip with me
Ain't no drug experience
Ain't no LSD
It's just locked-in Texas music
Best stuff in the land
Oh, makes you feel just like you feel
When an Austin mama takes you down
Pretty soon
Pretty soon we'll all float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away
Float away, float away, huh

Son Volt

Son Volt is an American rock band formed in 1994 by Jay Farrar after the breakup of Uncle Tupelo. The band's current line-up consists of Farrar (vocals, guitar), Andrew DuPlantis (bass guitar), John Horton (guitar), Mark Patterson (drums), and Mark Spencer (keyboard, steel guitar). In addition to playing alternative rock, the band is considered a staple of the alternative country rock movement of the 1990s. The band's sound also is rooted in folk rock and Americana. The band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2001, before reforming in 2004.
