I have to admit, I get bored with a lot of music from this era that I listened to over and over as a teenager (no more Zeppelin for me..). But this song I am very glad to hear. It still sounds interesting to me.
I'm liking this so much more than the first single they released off the album. That one made me disinterested in the album. This one - makes me think a listen to the rest may be due
...i don't get wilco, i totally don't get wilco at all...
...what is it so many people love about this band that i just can't hear?..sure, they're technically proficient, their albums are immaculately mastered, and their songwriting exhibits sufficient variety not to plod through the same material over and over, but i just can't hear any spark in their music: it's just there, like cast-off discount wallpaper...
...okay, less than you think was pretty cool, and following it up with the late greats made a nice musical counterpoint to close the album, but that's really an anomalous moment in their canon, and i don't say that for lack of giving them a fair listen...
I kinda agree, but then I saw them live at Jazz Fest in NO. No lack of spark there at all! Made me like them more than what was, for me, previously background house or introspective driving music.
I remember when they were just a paper ad on the phone poles in N.O. playing Tips or The Howling Wolf or one of the smaller joints that infested the area(Jimmy's Cooter's). . .
New Year's Eve at Rock 'n Bowl - the old one on top of the bowling alley. The whole floor would shake from everyone dancing.

"N is the only part of the word I heard" WTF
This song is stupid.
Dude, "END" is the only part of the word that I heard...
Kinda makes sense, eh? And makes the song rather clever.

I tried to upload some more songs off it but they got insta-sorried.
No offense meant, but I appreciate the insta-sorries for this style of music. Definitely not my flava.
yep, i hear it too...
That being said, not my favorite Cockburn...
