Damn this song brings back some memories, some sweet, some bitter. I got a chance to see him on this tour (and Page with The Firm) Thanks for playing this!
Boy I didn't like these guys for quite a while but then I got it. Glam rock and at the same time not pretentious. Not sure how that's possible but they do it. Just doing what the do and doin it damn well.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who hears the heavy Marc Bolan influence on The Black Keys music. And that is, by no means, a bad thing
I saw them perform this on Austin City Limits late last year. Lots of mystique. Emotional art. But--what a garbled hash! So I changed the channel. Sorry, RH fans, his singing voice just rubs me the wrong way. I don't completely grasp the praise and high rating numbers. Is RH transmitting on some secret sonic channel? Decent to good music - he can't sing = over rated.
I couldn't agree more. I do not get the draw this band has, nor the critical acclaim it receives. Meh, who am I to judge. Not my taste, that's all.
Fresh outta high school, this song was playing on college radio stations and was a fresh, new sound. Not the typical synth based music or hair metal that was so dominant back then. REM Reckoning is a phenomenal album.
Awesome!
I will now sell five copies of "The Three EPs" by The Beta Band.
Thanks for playing this!
