I discovered Hooverphonic through RP, and it's always good to hear their music. I highly recommend the oddly named album from which this track is taken. And yes, I've heard the Sara Brightman version of Eden as well, but while I do like it, personally I prefer the Hooverphonic version.

Not sure you are right : both permanent members Rob Garza and Eric Hilton grew up in Maryland, and TC was created in Wash. DC according to the biography of their own website. They are neither Icelandic nor French.
The message concerned actually referred to another band, Sigur Ros, not Thievery Corporation.

Simply beautiful.

Who would have thought it? A cool song from Elton John!

Simply beautiful. And I don't just mean Ms Dico...

Well, I'm English, and I really liked this track! I haven't paid much attention to Peter Gabriel since he left Genesis (showing my age, I know), but based on this track I'd like to hear more of his recent work.

Nice to see this one make it to the playlist. Now if we can only get Arriving Somewhere.....
...but Never Here. Well, not so far, anyway Nick

Yes, a beautiful album, albeit rather a short one. A shame Ms Lang has never quite managed to match it subsequently.

More stunning music from Porcupine Tree. I join the queue of people eternally in debt to RP for introducing me to this band. Nick

A classic, but personally the other songs on this album don't do much for me.

Very nice.

First heard this song a few years ago in Greece, lying on a sunbed beside a hotel swimming pool. Just perfect summer listening...

I bought this CD on the strength of hearing Pineapple Thief on RP. There are some beautiful tracks on it, but the overall effect can be a little repetitive at times. I would also agree that the vocals (and indeed lyrics) are not Pineapple Thief's strongest point. My favorite tracks on this CD are the instrumental ones. Still, this is a worthy track - I give it a 7! Nick

Pleasant enough. Personally I prefer it to Dolly's version. Seems a strange choice to cover, though.

Very nice (though not at all scary!).

Haven't seen the usage anywhere else, save this song.
Sir Winston Churchill, Britain's WW2 Prime Minister, used to suffer from spells of deep depression, which he called his 'Black Dog'. Not sure if he first coined the expression.

This grew on me as I listened to it. Rather beautiful, I thought.
