I think he's saying "the faster you fall" but why does it sound so much like "you bastard you fall" ?
Because they're from Scotland. Note: understanding Scottish cabbies is pretty difficult too.

I agree! Nothing against Iggy, but Siouxsie has done some amazing covers.
What about Michael Hutchence's version?

Essentially because the ‘60s were a unique time, a period of such radical change from the established pre-WWII order. It was a time of revolutions: political, sexual, social, ethnic, and musical, all layered one atop the other. It was a time of rejection of the established order that spanned the entire world in 1968. It wasn't just a US phenomenon. It was the rejection of the inhumane war in Vietnam, the scumbag president Nixon, the affirmation of the rights of women and minorities, and much more. I understand that every generation has its dreams for a better future, but ours had an element of naiveté that today's generation cannot have. This generation is too wise in the ways of the word, too cynical, and too lazy. If you really had dreams of a better future, you'd be in the streets demanding the head of your war-criminal president. Yet, where are you? In front of your computers worried about your iPod play lists, or laughing at the tragedy that is the USA while watching Comedy Central.
I really resent when people from other/older generations try to tell people of my generation what we're doing wrong. I noticed the same thing happening in the media right after 9/11 - they were asking if our generation would be able to deal with the new coming age of terrorism. If you're so wise in your old (I'm sorry, mature) age, how would you suggest we round up all these people in the streets and demand the head of our president when that's easier said than done? It is so much easier to help try and fix the problem by making suggestions than to sit back and just write about what we're doing wrong. Oh, and by the way, I do not own an iPod and I don't watch television either. My two cents . . .

Are you a virgin? Because this song exudes sex and lust. Listen to it next time your making out. Or the first time.
Don't know if I want to make out during a song that talks about mama!

Sounds a little like some of Bruce Hornsby's new stuff.

First heard this song on a WB show that used it perfectly in an episode. It made me go out and buy the CD. It was one of the few CDs I brought with me to Europe, and brings back some good memories from over there. Saw them live earlier this year before the break-up. They said some of them were forming a new band. Anybody know exactly what happened?
