Dire Straits are FAB, and this song is one of their best. My Dire Straits story - if I may throw it out there - dates from 1985 when the mucho wonderful Brothers In Arms had just been released. I was working as a DJ on a pirate radio ship called The Voice of Peace off the coast of Israel. The title track (on a new-fangled item called a CD) was long enough for me to go up to the galley, boil a kettle, make myself a cup of tea and 2 slices of peanut butter toast, and bring all of it down to the studio 2 flights below without missing the outro! Made only $200/month(!), but they were happy times indeed...
Sweet story... i remember listening to 'the Voice Of Peace' as a child... it was one of the best radio stations ever! and i agree that Brothers in Arms is a very special album. Thx

Just one great track on a beautifully crafted album... one of those you can listen to over and over again. it's great at full volume, or late at night in the car... always beautiful. i wish he had some new material... does anyone know of anything in the pipeline?
