Thirteen? I get the first five. Then, I guess Strength, Intelligence, Wisdom, Dexterity, Constitution and Charisma but after that? PSI ability? SAT score? That feeling you get when Rachael Rae makes Pasta Benne' with Portibello Pesto? Tune's a 7 , I guess.
LOL.. I was enjoying this song, smiling as I read through the posts which never cease in their quest to remind me about the wide variety of tastes present. (Plus I learn something every now and then) Then I found this reference to Rachael Rae! Haha. She is adorable, even though I do feel inclined to press the mute button on her now and then. Anyway, just another testament to why I'm addicted to RP. :)

This sounds different than before! It seems like a better groove than I recall. Although I have been on the LRC a lot, and that has a sound of it's own which is generally more mellow. So it puts a spin on how things sound on the main channel. I'll have to bump my rating up a little for this ditty.

So far, pretty good. It made me stop and look to see who it was. There is not an awful lot of powerful substance to it, yet it's catchy enough with the guitar, rhythm section, and vocals to keep me listening. edit: As it turned out I really like this song! There's just something about it.

:? Guess I'm going to have to listen to that one again. It has a nice ambient sound.

Bill, you read my mind considering that today you played No Doubt after this song. I kept hearing Gwen Stefani in my head while Erin was singing. It seems I should like the McKeown song better, but I just do not.

please read below... they're actually 3 different tracks as 'John Erle' points out: JohnErle wrote:
I think this series of songs makes perfect sense in the context of the album, but they probably seem a like a strange choice lumped together and thrown on RP like this. The first bit, To Russia My Homeland, actually fits better as a coda to Let It Dive, which precedes it on the album. All White has a nice melody, but I find the lyrics disappointingly bland. The last song, The Best, starts off with that amazing, fiery, passionate guitar-based intro then suddenly shifts gears into a very different but still excellent second half of the song. It's definitely my favorite of this trio, and one of the best tracks on the album.

Hmmm. I liked the first part. Now that we're winding--and calming--down, I'm okay with the last few seconds. But there's a stretch--a long, long stretch--in between, there. . . .

I just heard this on an episode of The Secret Life of Us (a now defunct Australian soap opera which has sporadic rotation on US cable). It was amazing. Of course I wondered if I had heard it here before. Apparently not...but yes, we should! Please. 8)

This reminds me of that movie... Samehada otoko to momojiri onna (Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl)
Thanks. Now that you mentioned that, it puts it in a little better perspective for extended listening. Link describing the movie. However on it's own it still drags on a bit. Could be used if there is a The Japan Job.

Yay! How about "I'm A Ram"... that was my favorite so far off the LRC.

I don't think even weed would help this song.
Nope, but maybe OxyContin.

WOW! I was just hoping yesterday that I would hear this song on here soon! Thank you. I also enjoy the Ella Fitzgerald version w/Louis and she goes off into a forgotten-lyrics scat.

I was going to up my rating but I realized why this song rubs me the wrong way: I keep hearing echoes of Wang Chung's "Dance Hall Days" twisted in there especially at the beginning of the chorus. "Take your baby by the hand.... Dance hall days love!..." Ok, so it could just be me...
