I would love to hear the original Barbara Lewis version sometime.

I didn't realize this was Lou Barlow singing. Sounds good.

Nice to finally hear some Beach Boys on RP. There are dozens of songs such as Surf's Up, Til I Die etc. that would also fit the format, or why not play Brian's Smile masterpiece?!

Didn't we just hear this?

His first solo album is still his best! And this track is one of his most over-looked!

Sounds pretty ordinary to me...

I know in retrospect, this album is not considered one of Bowie's igher artistic statements, but China Girl is still a standout. I esp. love Stevie Ray Vaughan's big fat guitar notes!

Sadly this band is no longer with us. I miss those Beatlesque melodies.

My favorite Lennon song is one I can't find on any of his recordings. It's just John and his piano and he just sings "Genius is Pain" again and again over some beautiful chord changes on the piano. I heard it on a Montreal radio station while travelling in Quebec in 1973. Anyone else familiar with this tune?
Sounds like you may have been listening to a National Lampoon spoof! I think they did one on Lennon called Genius Is Pain or something to that effect. I think the track breaks down into uncontrollable screaming towards the end.

Does anyone know the whereabouts of Mark Hollis? One solo album in '98, then he disappeared.

This is one of those tracks that only begins to sound great after several listens.
