Ben Harper is one of the most creative songwriters to come out of the US in a long time! All Hail the King!

I think you'll find the name of the song is just 'Downunder' - and I'm sure most Aussie's would agree, if they hear it one more time they'll barf...

Can't believe you followed the fantastic Patti Smith with a Dire Straits song....sorry, but I turned off...

Great to hear the Aussie boys on US Radio ...did everyone know they were from downunder?? The rest of the album is great too - "Since I Left You" was another single taken off it - you should look into that one - much more breezier than Frontier...

I can't believe you played this and I missed it! And as a previous posting said, play "Stargazer" by Motherlovebone - it's an awesome song. Sure beats the Dire Straits and Supertramp songs I hear on here... ;)

Yes, I took it as a 'push the little daisy's up' type analogy too.

Lurve Janes Addiction - and they've just been added to the 2003 bill for the Big Day Out in Australia - how wild will it be to see them 12 years on from when I first saw them!

Remember singing along to that when I must have been about 13 and not having any idea what they were talking about! Great to hear the song again though, it reminds me of the time when I wore a bad frilly shirt and velvet knickerbockers to their gig in Sydney (it was 1983)....and knew every word to their first two albums

I can't believe someone said this....it's just one of the albums of my lifetime! If I was stuck on an island, it would be that, Billy Bragg's Talking To The Taxman..., Pearl Jam's Ten and Jeff Buckley's Grace

Someone earlier mentioned Temple of The Dog - Hunger Strike - please play it lots!! I miss Soundgarden...

Bernard (the lead singer) just did a fantastic accoustic version of this on the telethon we had for the Bali Bomb victims - wasn't a dry eye in my house that night! "These days turned out nothing like I had planned...."

Loved this song from the day I heard it - and more so after I saw her do it accoustically for a small Aussie TV show! Don't know about comment about the Chrissie Amphlett likeness....

One of the best Aussie bands for ages. You should also check out Alex Lloyd - he's tops too!!!

Did I miss something really important here - did he die? (sorry, haven't been going to my dead rockstars 101 class lately!)

kiss me, please kiss me, kiss me out of desire, not consolation... possibly the best lyric ever written.. oh why did we loose him so early in what would have been a distinguished career! Hope you're doing O.K. up there Jeff, you were an angel in life, as you will be in death.
