I Heard It Through the Grapevine - Creedence Clearwater Revival

Pedestrian and uninspired. If it was 2 min long it would be OK.
Loan Me a Dime - Boz Scaggs

A lot of the music and some of the lyrics is identical to Blue Jean Blues by ZZ Top ... which song came first?

Crosseyed and Painless - Talking Heads

The best song to come out in the past 50 years. IMHO. :-)
Scatterlings of Africa - Johnny Clegg and Savuka

So good to hear Johnny Clegg here - he and his two bands are old favorites of mine from the 1980s. Great positive infectious singing-along-with-the-african-refrains-in-the-car bouncy music. Now my young kids are getting into it.
"Scatterlings of Africa" is the one of the most mainstream ones ... if you're interested in really interesting African/pop blending then listen to a song like "The Spirit is the Journey".

Start of Something Beautiful - Porcupine Tree

Mmmm, the 5/4 drumming in this track is just gorgeous.
Thanks, RP, for putting me on to Porcupine Tree! I've since got all their albums and they are really high quality.

This song never gets old. My favorite Talking Heads song and definitely in my top five songs of all time!
Saved by Zero - The Fixx

The Fixx have heaps of good songs - listen to some albums instead of just 80's hit mixes. Impeccable balance and groove. I love them. :-)
