Sundown - Gordon Lightfoot

This great song perfectly conveys the emotional turmoil of peoples' dangerous liasions in less than 4 minutes.
Perfect Circle - R.E.M.

The whole Murmur CD is great, and I can't explain at all

Bring Me Some Water - Melissa Etheridge
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
Raw, gutsy song, from out of heart, soul, sweat, fire, pleasure and pain. Great earthy song that predates Sheryl Crow's great self-titled CD.
No Mermaid - Sinéad Lohan
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
It's great to hear Radio Paradise again after a relatively short abscence (a week.) And a great song to hear when I came back...

Serene - Throwing Muses
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
This is an emotionally charged song that is powerful and real to me.

40 lashes!
The lyrics are almost as bad as Interpol... and then add poor enunciation on top.
Being an Interpol fan, what is said isn't always as important as how it's said.
Throwing Muses and Interpol sing wonderfully, in their own melancholy way.

Early Morning Rain - Gordon Lightfoot
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
This song captures the man's sadness, emptiness and longings.
The Sound of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
words fail me...10 of course.

I Feel - The Sundays
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
I've had this CD (Blind) for quite a few years. It has that great ethereal, atmospheric sound that very few musicians (Enya, Lorenna McKinnett) can create.
It's too bad the Sundays are no more...

Hard Day on the Planet - Loudon Wainwright III
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
Great theme song for me. A cheerful blues song that explains my interplanetary occupation and my location.

Thirteen - Big Star
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
This has a nice tender touch on the guitar. Very good.

First Tube - Phish
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
Good jam, though not in my "normal" taste.
Nocturn - Kate Bush
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
This is a quite good, very solid "7" rating. This is a very melodic song, well produced, good variety of instrumentation, stays in the same groove.
She’s a Mystery to Me - Roy Orbison
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
Dudes and dudettes, I nearly accidentally rated this song with a horrible low rating. I sorta lost my typing abilityupon hearing this masterful melancholy song. (Fortunately I recovered.)

Bleed to Love Her - Fleetwood Mac
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
This is fantastic!!
Great feelings, as with the Mac's classis "Sentimental Lady."

Free Until They Cut Me Down - Iron & Wine
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
waiting a moment to listen had great benefits--I rated it very high.
Great
playing.

All the Dark Horses - Trashcan Sinatras
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
I just signed on less than 2 minutes ago (Pluto-related business.) This is a fantastic 10-worthy track that's new to me
I need to get back to Georgia...

In the Mood - Robert Plant
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
Sure, it seems people want to forget this song, but not this Principle of Moments fan. To me the song is different, and Principle sounded like nothing else that was coming out at the time ('83.)
So go ahead and get sick of Plant's strange sound,
, but as for me, I can
to these songs, and while not a 10, Robert did quite well.

Time Will Tell - Bob Marley
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
A very cheerful song about a very somber situation. I find myself smiling and laughing in the midst of trouble, yet the trouble is still there.

Beck's Bolero - Jeff Beck
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
Best Jeff Beck I ever heard. What a soaring song!
Once in a Lifetime - Talking Heads
Posted 19 years ago by plutodazed:
One of their best, and not because of its commercial success. It never gets old.
