Trying ridiculously to remember another movie where I heard this--- Crocodile Dundee II, at the end, where he has been chasing the bad guys in the outback, and finally gets himself shot by his buddy. They play this song. Then a bad guy dies. Very memorable.
you heard it when Jim Carray, as Truman, first wakes up to the realization that reality may not be what he thought it was. (The Truman Show) a very inspirational scene! the music's perfect for it!

I seem to be the minority here but i think this whole album is pretty good. In the liner notes, sinead states that she wanted to remake the songs exactly as they were originally done - i assume that includes pronunciation. Anyway, i think its cool to hear the songs with a female voice.
regarding this song (i haven't listened to the whole album), i join you in the minority; from reading other comments its safe to say most people despise this song by this artist, but i have to admit i like it a lot. i would bet that if people didn't previously know this song and didn't previously know this artist, they would be groovin' to the sound.

so wait... she wrote this and performed the version now playing, but it is the Pearl Jam version that is actually good? Do I have that straight?
unfortunately, yes.

any chance of hearing something from Rough Mix on RP?

anyone check out this band when they played halftime at the Superbowl? it was abysmal: i don't know who was running their sound board, but the mix was terrible. Ronnie's guitar was completely down, as was Mick's mic. almost like they didn't run a sound check beforehand.

"i crucify myself"?? we wish it were so, tori, we wish it were so. that way we would no longer be crucifying our selves listening to this s**t.

based on this song, it sounds like production quality has increased with this album compared to his others. not sure if that's a good thing or not. still catchy pop stuff...

personally, i didn't want to mute this and give it a "one," but the cat was hanging from the rafters trying to escape through the skylight and the dog's ears started bleeding...

This is Radiohead on Lithium, after years of therapy and Republican propoganda.
methinks good therapy and Republican propaganda cancel each other out, leaving the Radiohead on Lithium analogy, which is enough said, actually.
