I'm extremely biased about these guys and especially about this song. They're from Cincinnati, where I live, and I got lucky enough to see them in Paris last November and through their management got them to dedicate this song to my 10-year old twins who were seeing their first concert ever. Talk about blowing your mind! But they are a much better band live I think than in the studio.
I'm biased I'm sure because I'm from Cincinnati where the guys in this band are from, but I love this song and that reached a new high last night when my wife and I took our kids to their first concert ever, and it happened to be the National in Paris and we sent an email to the band and they dedicated this song in concert to our ten year old twins. It was one of the best moments of my life!
It's stuff like this that drives me back to Slacker and Pandora. Great in it's day but that day is long gone and I have heard this song more times than I want to. Adios RP.
I really wanted to give Bill a chance today and do work around the house listening to RP. But to play this so close to another worn out song in Time Has Come Today has me sprinting for Pandora!
Something has gone horribly wrong with my internet provider. Suddenly Secret Agent Man was playing on what was supposed to be Radio Paradise. I think I need to change providers to make sure that doesn't happen again.
Totally agree with Spumoni. I can understand how Rush creates some true loathing, and they don't have the spot in my life that they used to, but I love this song, the lyrics are the best that Neal Peart ever wrote. Great great tune, that I appreciate even more now, with eighteen years passed in my life since this came out, they have much more significance. Nice play, Bill!
