This is sweet. What a funky bass.

As a half Hawaiian myself, I find this very pleasurable. :-D

Cool stuff.

I can't decide if what you hear in this band is original or actually a "lifting" of some other stuff. I mean, it seems like you've heard this song before, that somebody else wrote it, that your friend mentioned it one time, and that it's not new. But it's okay, nonetheless.

You're right about that one. It kind of reminds me of My Bloody Valentine, but not as good.

Sounds a little like Guided by Voices. Pretty good.

Love this song...however I recently saw him in Northampton, MA...the show was a really big dissappointment...I was expecting the show to be like his songs on his most recent record...instead, he did a whole bunch of falceto singing and his band was just like a jam band...the highlight was when he did some amazing beatboxing, but that aside the show was a huge letdown and borderline waste of $31...
I could imagine that. When I saw him at college, he wasn't famous yet. It was cheap, but it was falsetto singing and jamming. I didn't know he was ever going to be on the radio, I thought he would never be famous and it was just a fad.

I've never understood these songs with all the "amen!" and crap in the background. Are we supposed to believe this is a party? Or maybe that's his entourage?
If you listen to the whole album it progresses with that same kind of groove. It's almost the same beat from start to finish... this kind of adds to the effect that it's just this non-stopping type of thing. But then again, who knows why he actually intended to do it...

This song always comes on the 60's and 70's radio at the office, and it's just Santana playing guitar and some guy saying that "oye como va" thing in the background... kind of like the creepy uncle or something.
