Has she covered "Short People?" Now THAT would be awesome.

Yuck
Come to Me - Björk

Helplessly hoping to hear less Bjork.
What a Day That Was - Talking Heads

Not aging terribly well.
High and Dry - Radiohead
Posted 14 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
I'm late to the party of really appreciating just how exceptional this band is. While I wish they'd take themselves slightly less seriously, if this is what it takes, then so be it.
Blue in Green - Miles Davis

That's right....God like....got any questions?
Never Let Me Down Again - Depeche Mode
Posted 14 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
This song has never let me down, and it never will.
Old England - The Waterboys
Posted 14 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
Miserable and depressing, IMHO. A 22 minute Jethro Tull track would be better. Well...not really.
Us & Them -> Eclipse - Pink Floyd
Posted 14 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
Not crazy for Pink Floyd (although I used to snicker at "goody goody goody bullshit" when I was a little kid), and yes, THIS one is overplayed, but let's give credit where it's due. This is simply masterful.
Reckoner - Radiohead

Masterful. I wish these guys took themselves just a bit less seriously, but this is a simply wonderful single.
All You Do Is Talk - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
Posted 15 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
I dig this groove.
Kid Charlemagne - Steely Dan
Posted 15 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
This is what it's all about...not just good Steely Dan (most Steely Dan is quite good), but really good Steely Dan. Royal Scam baby...yeah.
Human Behavior - Björk
Posted 15 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
'1" is the loneliest number that you'll ever know.
You Never Give Me/The End - The Beatles
Posted 15 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
As good as it ever gets. Wow.
Mother - Tori Amos
Posted 15 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
MOTHER F'er, that song blows. I'm sorry, let me rephrase. I THINK that song blows. It's wrong to assert one's opinions as fact. I'm sorry, let me rephrase. I THINK it's wrong to assert one's opinions as fact.
Not as We - Alanis Morissette
Posted 15 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
Thank goodness Alanis Morissette's 15 minutes are up. She makes me hurl.
In Another Life - Vienna Teng
Posted 16 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
This song blows. When are you guys gonna play "God of Thunder" by KISS?
Lifelines - Doves
Posted 16 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
The Doves are awesome. I refuse to compare them to anyone else. They are "The Doves." Thank you.
Caravanserai - Loreena McKennitt
Posted 16 years ago by steve_san_carlos:
Painful, miserable, slow moving. Shoot me now.
Sail On Sailor - The Beach Boys

Nice blast from the past. Good stuff.
