Sounds like it should be a soundtrack to an Ernie Kovacs skit.

Holy crap! I've never heard this before and it's a very telling piece emotionally...Hidden beneath, in the undergrowth of the story is an extreme honesty...whew...

Even if you DON'T like her music you have to respect her musical heritage... From Wikipedia- Born as Geethali Norah Jones Shankar in New York, New York, but later changed her name officially to Norah Jones, at the age of 16. She is the daughter of the Indian sitar maestro Ravi Shankar and Sue Jones, and is the half-sister of musician Anoushka Shankar, Ravi Shankar's daughter from his second marriage.

A cool group that deserves a 7 for this song. But I give them an 8 because they have one of the coolest names in the recording industry!

I almost feel like this should be on the "Desperado' album by the Eagles...It seems to fit right in with the Doolin-Dalton theme...Or maybe I'm just hearing what I want to hear...

I like this song but there are a thousand groups that sound just like this playing in Coffee houses all over the world...

He doesn't have a classic voice, and yes, I guess the Beck comparisons could be made. However... He writes thoughtful, introspective lyrics that still manage to connect across a range of (negative) experiences. Not surprisingly, his admirers may be relatively small in number but intense in their admiration. I certainly count myself as one. If the voice is a sticking point, I guess there's not much that can be done. It just seems like there are enough well-regarded musicians with poor voices who are much more popular than E...

To REALLY understand this and his other solo work go back to his first solo album, "The Winding Sheet". A dark place(Seattle), a dark time(early "grunge" years). There was so much going on that was wrong and effecting everyone in that scene. He is lucky he is still around and kicking with "Queens Of The Stone Age"... S~

I'm beginning to realize that Elton John used to be music genius!
What happened? This song is still one of the finest pieces of writing around. Regardless what anyone says him and Bernie could really lay down the words and notes!
