Hehe. Radiohead bandmembers' side project and they call it "The Smile"? The immediately recognizable, doomy, jazz-inflected sound and "spasmodic" lyrics of Radiohead and they chose "The Smile"?

Must be thinking of this kind of smile:

Its called "irony"....

Chris Stapleton is far more talented than most of the folks for whom he wrote all those hit songs. His sincerity, grasp of nuance, gut-wrenching lyrics, and low-key approach make him one of the top artists today. Very happy for his success as a solo artist, well deserved.

That is amazing that he has all of those hits for others, and i really like his sound. I think thankfully for Chris as the songwriter he makes the most money from the royalties :)

Amazed by the string work, and electronic mix. Robert is timeless!!
I saw them on their Disintegration tour in NYC and it was awesome. Love it!

That Piano hook at the beginning is the same as Kendrick Lamar's "not like us" hook. Pretty cool that REM is still making magic happen..these guys were pioneers of 90's radio..

The problem with allot of diehard Rh fans is that they take their work to be way too serious. Profound!  Yes it is, but they also have a pretty vast catalog spanning decades of experimental change. Not every artist is a master with their first offering. They have periods of different directions. Thom will be the first to tell you that they are artists first and entertainers second, and thus everyone experiences their work differently. If you are a true fan you should appreciate and respect all of their output...even anyone can play guitar and Creep...LOL

You know that pesky Left. Always causing problems over human dignity and rights.

Disappointed that anyone on RP would comment on political quackery in the context of one of the most beautiful and brave artists ever.  Changes everywhere I guess...

I really like Arcade Fire, they sing about things that relate and matter to me.
Plus they have a bit of a punk edge. Great live band also.
