Geez ... when I heard the opening notes of this one, I thought it was U2's "The Unforgettable Fire". Time to either turn up the speakers or clean out my ears! I'll start with the former.
I heard the same thing! Mine is the speakers - I can't crank RP like I wanna during the work day.
Fantastic live band. They make you feel like you're part of the music, rather than just a mere listener.
The best thing is that they are simply so charming in person. And filled with a sense of... joy? Fun? I don't know how to put it.
Definitely one of my top 5 concerts I've ever seen. Make you feel happy to be alive and kicking.
They're not talking about fundies, they're talking about full-blown culties. Apparently one of the bandmembers spent a HUGE amount of time on the internet talking to and observing cult members, and the lyrics guy wrote this based on conversations they had, or something like that.
I'd like to add that this track is not one of the better selections from this release IMO.

Saw him in Seattle 2 nights ago and it was FANTASTIC. Highly recommend if you can make it. The guy obviously loves music, performing and he was very interactive with all of us in the crowd. I enjoy seeing people who enjoy!

Agreed. I really enjoyed the tidbits, the family interviews, the hilarious old pics and the fact that they still refer to Neil as "The New Guy". rickhoran wrote:
Biography of Rush - Beyond the Lighted Stage
is a must see for rush fans and others with some interest. I never realized that Geddy Lee had a great sense of humor. All three of them had very interesting thoughts about what they have done over the last 35+ years.
Love the Furries! This album is really great - headhphones are a must. The lyrics to this song are fantastic and right on regarding the fundies. And they're Welsh dudes. Do they have relig-o-nuts in the UK?
I picked up their Fuzzy Logic and Rings Around the World before my recent trip to Wales and really enjoyed. They are very funny fellows with a huge following in Wales. Flaming Lips meets Donovan with Beck-ish tendencies.
At a recent Triple Door event in Seattle SNZ Female lead was an underpowered flitty distraction. No umph in the voice and a bit pretentious . . . The rest of the band was a hoot!
I was at that show too - and I couldn't agree more with your review.
